القرآن الكريميَا أَيُّهَا النَّاسُ اتَّقُوا رَبَّكُمُ الَّذِي خَلَقَكُم مِّن نَّفْسٍ وَاحِدَةٍ وَخَلَقَ مِنْهَا زَوْجَهَا وَبَثَّ مِنْهُمَا رِجَالًا كَثِيرًا وَنِسَاءً ۚ وَاتَّقُوا اللَّهَ الَّذِي تَسَاءَلُونَ بِهِ وَالْأَرْحَامَ ۚ إِنَّ اللَّهَ كَانَ عَلَيْكُمْ رَقِيبًا
O mankind, fear your Lord, who created you from one soul and created from it its mate and dispersed from both of them many men and women. And fear Allah, through whom you ask one another, and the wombs. Indeed Allah is ever, over you, an Observer.
Translation: Saheeh International
وَالَّذِينَ يَصِلُونَ مَا أَمَرَ اللَّهُ بِهِ أَن يُوصَلَ وَيَخْشَوْنَ رَبَّهُمْ وَيَخَافُونَ سُوءَ الْحِسَابِ
And those who join that which Allah has ordered to be joined and fear their Lord and are afraid of the evil of [their] account,
Translation: Saheeh International
وَآتِ ذَا الْقُرْبَىٰ حَقَّهُ وَالْمِسْكِينَ وَابْنَ السَّبِيلِ وَلَا تُبَذِّرْ تَبْذِيرًا
And give the relative his right, and [also] the poor and the traveler, and do not spend wastefully.
Translation: Saheeh International
فَهَلْ عَسَيْتُمْ إِن تَوَلَّيْتُمْ أَن تُفْسِدُوا فِي الْأَرْضِ وَتُقَطِّعُوا أَرْحَامَكُمْ أُولَٰئِكَ الَّذِينَ لَعَنَهُمُ اللَّهُ فَأَصَمَّهُمْ وَأَعْمَىٰ أَبْصَارَهُمْ
So would you perhaps, if you turned away, cause corruption on earth and sever your [ties of] relationship? Those [who do so] are the ones that Allah has cursed, so He deafened them and blinded their vision.
Translation: Saheeh International
Hadith
الحديث النبويعَنْ عَائِشَةَ قَالَتْ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم الرَّحِمُ مُعَلَّقَةٌ بِالْعَرْشِ تَقُولُ مَنْ وَصَلَنِي وَصَلَهُ اللَّهُ وَمَنْ قَطَعَنِي قَطَعَهُ اللَّهُ
'A'isha reported Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) as saying:
The tie of kinship is suspended to the Throne and says: He who unites me Allah would unite him and he who severed me Allah would sever him.
عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ أَنَّ رَجُلًا قَالَ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ إِنَّ لِي قَرَابَةً أَصِلُهُمْ وَيَقْطَعُونِي وَأُحْسِنُ إِلَيْهِمْ وَيُسِيئُونَ إِلَيَّ وَأَحْلُمُ عَنْهُمْ وَيَجْهَلُونَ عَلَيَّ فَقَالَ لَئِنْ كُنْتَ كَمَا قُلْتَ فَكَأَنَّمَا تُسِفُّهُمُ الْمَلَّ وَلَا يَزَالُ مَعَكَ مِنَ اللَّهِ ظَهِيرٌ عَلَيْهِمْ مَا دُمْتَ عَلَى ذَلِكَ
Abu Huraira reported that a person said:
Allah's Messenger, I have relatives with whom I try to have close relationship, but they sever this relation. I treat them well, but they treat me ill. I am sweet to them but they are harsh towards me. Upon this he said: If it is so as you say, then you in fact throw hot ashes upon their faces and there would always remain with you on behalf of Allah a supporter against them so long as you adhere to this path.
عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم قَالَ إِنَّ اللَّهَ خَلَقَ الْخَلْقَ حَتَّى إِذَا فَرَغَ مِنْ خَلْقِهِ قَالَتِ الرَّحِمُ هَذَا مَقَامُ الْعَائِذِ بِكَ مِنَ الْقَطِيعَةِ قَالَ نَعَمْ أَمَا تَرْضَيْنَ أَنْ أَصِلَ مَنْ وَصَلَكِ وَأَقْطَعَ مَنْ قَطَعَكِ قَالَتْ بَلَى يَا رَبِّ قَالَ فَهْوَ لَكِ
Narrated Abu Huraira:
The Prophet (ﷺ) said, "Allah created the creations, and when He finished from His creations, Ar-Rahm said, 'At this place I seek refuge with You from all those who sever me.' Allah said, 'Yes, won't you be pleased that I will keep good relations with the one who keeps good relations with you, and sever the relation with the one who severs you?' It said, 'Yes, O my Lord.' Allah said, 'Then that is for you.'" Allah's Messenger added, "Read if you wish: 'Would you then, if you turned away, cause corruption in the land and sever your ties of kinship?' (47:22).
عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم يَقُولُ مَنْ سَرَّهُ أَنْ يُبْسَطَ لَهُ رِزْقُهُ أَوْ يُنْسَأَ لَهُ فِي أَثَرِهِ فَلْيَصِلْ رَحِمَهُ
Narrated Anas bin Malik:
I heard Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) saying, "Whoever desires an expansion in his sustenance and age should keep good relations with his kith and kin."
عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَمْرٍو عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم قَالَ لَيْسَ الْوَاصِلُ بِالْمُكَافِئِ وَلَكِنِ الْوَاصِلُ الَّذِي إِذَا قَطَعَتْ رَحِمُهُ وَصَلَهَا
Narrated 'Abdullah bin 'Amr:
The Prophet (ﷺ) said, "Al-Wasil is not the one who recompenses the good done to him by his relatives, but Al-Wasil is the one who keeps good relations with those relatives who had severed the bond of kinship with him."
عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ عَمْرِو بْنِ الْعَاصِ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ تُوضَعُ الرَّحِمُ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ لَهَا حُجْنَةٌ كَحُجْنَةِ الْمِغْزَلِ تَتَكَلَّمُ بِأَلْسِنَةٍ طُلْقٍ ذُلْقٍ فَتَصِلُ مَنْ وَصَلَهَا وَتَقْطَعُ مَنْ قَطَعَهَا
Abdullah ibn Amr reported: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said, "The womb will be presented on the Day of Resurrection. It will have a staff like a spindle and it will speak with a clear and articulate tongue. It will maintain whoever maintained its relations, and it will cut off whoever cut off its relations."
عَنْ عَائِشَةَ زَوْجِ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم قَالَ الرَّحِمُ شِجْنَةٌ فَمَنْ وَصَلَهَا وَصَلْتُهُ وَمَنْ قَطَعَهَا قَطَعْتُهُ
Narrated 'Aisha:
The Prophet (ﷺ) said, "The word Ar-Rahm derives its name from Ar-Rahman. So whosoever keeps good relations with it, Allah will keep good relations with him, and whosoever severs it, Allah too will sever His relations with him."
عَنْ أَبِي سُفْيَانَ أَنَّ هِرَقْلَ أَرْسَلَ إِلَيْهِ فَقَالَ يَعْنِي النَّبِيَّ صلى الله عليه وسلم يَأْمُرُنَا بِالصَّلاَةِ وَالصَّدَقَةِ وَالْعَفَافِ وَالصِّلَةِ
Narrated Abu Sufyan:
Heraclius sent for him and said, "What did he, meaning the Prophet (ﷺ), order you?" I replied, "He orders us to offer prayers, to give alms, to be chaste, and to keep good relations with our relatives."
عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ الْعَاصِ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ النَّبِيَّ صلى الله عليه وسلم يَقُولُ إِنَّ آلَ أَبِي فُلَانٍ لَيْسُوا بِأَوْلِيَائِي إِنَّمَا وَلِيِّيَ اللَّهُ وَصَالِحُ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ وَلَكِنْ لَهُمْ رَحِمٌ أَبُلُّهَا بِبَلاَلِهَا
Narrated 'Amr bin Al-'As:
I heard the Prophet (ﷺ) saying openly, "The family of Abu so-and-so are not among my protectors. My Protector is Allah and the righteous believing people. But they have kinship with me and I will be good and dutiful to them."
عَنْ أَبِي أَيُّوبَ أَنَّ رَجُلًا قَالَ لِلنَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم أَخْبِرْنِي بِعَمَلٍ يُدْخِلُنِي الْجَنَّةَ فَقَالَ تَعْبُدُ اللَّهَ لاَ تُشْرِكُ بِهِ شَيْئًا وَتُقِيمُ الصَّلاَةَ وَتُؤْتِي الزَّكَاةَ وَتَصِلُ الرَّحِمَ
Narrated Abu Aiyub:
A man said to the Prophet (ﷺ), "Tell me of such a deed as will make me enter Paradise." The Prophet said, "You should worship Allah and not ascribe any partners to Him, offer prayer perfectly, pay the Zakat, and keep good relations with your kith and kin."
عَنْ سَلْمَانَ بْنِ عَامِرٍ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم قَالَ الصَّدَقَةُ عَلَى الْمِسْكِينِ صَدَقَةٌ وَهِيَ عَلَى ذِي الرَّحِمِ ثِنْتَانِ صَدَقَةٌ وَصِلَةٌ
Salman bin Amir related that the Prophet (ﷺ) said, "Charity given to the needy is charity, and if it is given to relatives it is two things: charity and nurturing the ties of kinship."
عَنْ أَبِي بَكْرَةَ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم مَا مِنْ ذَنْبٍ أَجْدَرُ أَنْ يُعَجِّلَ اللَّهُ تَعَالَى لِصَاحِبِهِ الْعُقُوبَةَ فِي الدُّنْيَا مَعَ مَا يَدَّخِرُ لَهُ فِي الآخِرَةِ مِثْلُ الْبَغْىِ وَقَطِيعَةِ الرَّحِمِ
Abu Bakrah reported that the Prophet (ﷺ) said, "There is no wrong action more likely to bring punishment in this world, in addition to what is stored up in the Next World, than oppression and severing ties of kinship."
عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ أَبِي أَوْفَى عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم قَالَ إِنَّ الرَّحْمَةَ لاَ تَنْزِلُ عَلَى قَوْمٍ فِيهِمْ قَاطِعُ رَحِمٍ
'Abdullah ibn 'Awfa reported that the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, said, "Mercy does not descend on a people when there is someone among them who severs ties of kinship."
عَنْ جُبَيْرِ بْنِ مُطْعِمٍ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم قَالَ لاَ يَدْخُلُ الْجَنَّةَ قَاطِعٌ
Jubayr ibn Mu'tim reported that he heard the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) say, "The one who severs ties of kinship will not enter Paradise."
